AI Video Booths - a fad or the next step in brand engagement?

Discover how an AI Video brand activation can cut through the noise and deliver valuable engagement to your audience.

We’ll be honest: we were sceptical about AI video.

Not because the tech wasn’t impressive - but because our core clients, especially in the corporate and B2B space, didn’t seem to want it. The focus was always on high-quality stills, instant delivery, and frictionless UX. AI video booths felt more like a festival gimmick than a real engagement tool for brand activations.

But all that has changed.

What’s Shifted?

In early 2025, we started seeing a new pattern:
Corporate clients - especially in finance, tech, and professional services - began asking not just for images, but for motion content that felt elevated, personalised, and on-brand. Not TikTok trends. Not “deepfake celeb” clips. Just short, polished AI-generated loops with a guest’s likeness that look like they were always meant to be part of the brand story.

That’s when we decided it was time to pull our fingers out of our ears, face reality, and do something about it.

Introducing Snapmatic’s AI Video Booth

Launching in Q3 2025, our AI Video Booth captures each guest portrait and transforms it into a short branded loop, delivered via email in around 5 minutes.

These aren’t noisy overlays or awkward animations. Each video is:

  • Personalised to the guest’s likeness
  • Styled to your brand’s aesthetic - logos, tone, motion graphics
  • Optimised for social sharing and event screens

And crucially, it works within the same Snapmatic pipeline as our AI photo experience - no extra setup, no separate staff, no hardware drama.

Why It’s Working Now

1. Motion = Engagement

Still photos are great. But even LinkedIn are pushing these - let alone Instagram, and WhatsApp. Corporate guests are just as happy to show off a slick 5-second clip as they are a headshot.

2. Brand Control

Snapmatic’s video workflow are an extension of our custom AI Photo booth image pipeline and are built for brand teams, not just creators. Motion stays subtle, elegant, and ownable.

3. One Flow, Many Outputs

Photos, videos, trading cards, gallery displays - it all runs through the same booth flow. With one change - guests entering their email to get notified once their videos are done.

Final Thought: We Were Right to Wait

We’re glad we didn’t rush into video when the format wasn’t mature. We’ve watched others struggle with low-res outputs, clunky rendering times, and poor results. But now, by incorporating the latest models into our own styling pipeline - we’re proud to say our AI Video Booth is ready for prime time.

And it’s already powering some of the best event content we’ve ever seen.
