Case Study: AI-Powered Brand Engagement at Global Technology Event

In 2024, a prominent global technology conference brought together industry leaders, presales consultants and enterprise architects for an exclusive, invite-only event. Held in Atlanta, Georgia and Vienna, Austria, this high-profile gathering was designed to foster collaboration, innovation and technical excellence.

Attendees participated in speaker sessions, hands-on labs and interactive community spaces, connecting with experts and gaining deep technical insights.

Objective

For the second consecutive year, Snapmatix (formerly Snapmatic AI in the UK) was selected by the Global BRand agency Nteractive to deliver an innovative AI-driven brand engagement solution.

After the success of our first-generation solution in the previous year, our goal for 2024 was to elevate the attendee experience with an advanced Gen 2 solution: a more efficient and lightweight activation designed to drive even higher levels of engagement.

Execution - the AI Photo Booth

Snapmatix’s Gen 2 AI photo booth was designed to provide personalised, certification-based image outputs with a fully customised AI theme created specifically for the event. By leveraging user inputs, particularly certification levels, we were able to generate unique, branded images that both reflected the achievements of attendees and aligned with the event’s focus on technical excellence.

This personalised approach encouraged participants to update their LinkedIn profile pictures and share their images across social media, significantly boosting online engagement.

To further enhance participation, we implemented a dual engagement strategy that combined QR codes with a kiosk setup. This proved highly effective, resulting in unprecedented interaction, with over 800 users engaging with the AI photo booth in a single day.

Results

The activation was a resounding success, with social media shares, likes and LinkedIn updates reaching record levels. The customised, certification-based images provided clear value to attendees by celebrating their professional milestones, while also driving strong online visibility for the event.

Snapmatix has set a new benchmark for AI-powered brand activations, and the challenge now is to raise the bar even higher for next year.
